Job Description

We are looking for an outstanding Ruby on Rails and React developer to join our team and help transform access to social services. This is a full-time position located in Chicago.

As soon as you start at mRelief, you will play a critical role in building an affirming process for families to apply for food stamps.

Technical Qualifications

  • Experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Front-end experience with React
  • Experience with test-driven development using RSpec and Capybara
  • 2+ years of industry experience with Ruby and JavaScript
  • Experience with AI is a plus

Job Description

We are looking for an outstanding Growth and Partnership Manager to manage an array of digital and text messaging based outreach initiatives. mRelief’s target audience is low-income families and this role will execute digital marketing efforts that identify and engage people who comprise the demographic of the 9 million families who are eligible for but not receiving food stamps. Thus, this requires an innovative approach to identifying and engaging a community that is often not the subject of marketing campaigns.

This is a full-time position located in Chicago, IL and unfortunately does not allow you to work remotely. As soon as you start at mRelief, you will play a critical role in driving awareness about how families can apply for social services in the most affirming way possible. This position will report to the Executive Director.

Growth & Partnership tasks include:

  • Generating search engine marketing based campaigns
  • Increasing mRelief.com’s search engine ranking on Google, Bing and Yahoo
  • Establishing public and private digital partnerships that enable user growth
  • Developing, testing and managing campaigns on digital outreach platforms
  • Generating messaging and creative content to test with low-income populations to identify what resonates
  • Working with stakeholders to identify channels which are most effective for low-income populations
  • Managing social media presence - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and driving users to mRelief
  • Take ownership over quarterly and annual growth metrics

We are looking for someone:

  • With at least two years of relevant experience in Search Engine Marketing or Paid Social Media Campaigns
  • Located in or willing to move to Chicago
  • Interested in Social Impact, Social Services a plus
  • Organized, detailed oriented, self-directed and computer literate

Operations Associate

Job Description

We are looking for an outstanding Operations Associate to manage internal mRelief operations and user logistical needs. The primary activity of this manager will be to facilitate scheduling and documents submission for food stamp process navigation. Further, this associate will conduct data analysis and reports of food stamp process navigation. To a lesser extent this role will conduct operations tasks related to office culture and internal reporting. This is a full-time position located in Chicago, IL. As soon as you start at mRelief, you will play a critical role in driving efficiencies and systematizing internal mRelief processes. This position will report to the Executive Director.

Operations tasks include:

  • Facilitating logistical needs of mRelief users
  • Conducting proactive outreach to users who get stuck in the enrollment process
  • Generating bi-weekly reports on user feedback
  • Assist with organizational scheduling: team meetings, board meetings, strategic planning and Executive Director meetings
  • Generate quarterly and annual donor reports
  • Assist Executive Director with fundraising due diligence and annual organizational audit

We are looking for someone:
